Recovering people… more than any other group except perhaps the military, have numerous acronyms and abbreviations that are critical to navigating daily life and success. This topic might seem simple but there is more to their use than meets the eye. In this workshop we will explore many of these and discuss their importance to maintain not only the quantity of sobriety but the quality of that effort as well. We will also look at the biological connection to these as well.
1) Participants will learn the various acronyms that are common and important in recovery.
2) Participants will learn the biological connection related to these various acronyms.
3) Participants will be able to discuss and explain these simple but powerful tools to their patients and clients in a straightforward manner.
