An Introduction to Harm Reduction: Concepts, Evidence, Actions
Overview:
This 1.5-hour training, offering 1.5 NBCC CEUs, provides an introduction to harm reduction, supported by evidence and practical examples anyone can implement immediately. With drug overdose deaths on the rise, it is evident that our current substance use strategies are inadequate. Individuals with lived experience in drug use have championed harm reduction principles, and the medical community is increasingly adopting these practices in substance use disorder treatment. This session will offer a foundational understanding of harm reduction and its benefits for individuals and communities affected by drug use.
Learning Objectives
